Facebook: Crafting as a Spiritual Practice
Oh my, what an inspiring book! The author walks the reader through a myriad of different techniques and/or practices to invoke a spiritual one-ness with you, your creativity and God.

Maggie provides numerous recipes for fragrant anointing aromatherapy type uses, she walks you through Visual Journaling which I must say has to be akin to what Fiber Artists call Art Journaling.

A very practical manner of introducing a tight relationship between your Spiritual Faith traditions and creativity. Prayer and creativity transcend each if us into a intentionally respective calm Spiritual path with our art or crafting! It only goes to say that calmness is the result.

From anointing oils to prayer beads, prayer paintings ( or quilts), prayer mats and prayer weavings, the author walks us through a vast array of methods to help us in our own personal way bring Spirituality or God into our creative work both as a practice to calm and center ourselves to be the best creative person we can, but also she shares techniques and practices that could become a vehicle of our creativity itself.

I recommend everyone read this book, it will benefit both the Faithful Creative person as well as those finding their spirituality elsewhere. It's just plain good!!!!
