It's a very difficult situation when someone close to you or whom you love dearly treats you with disrespect or unfavorable actions! I can only turn closer to God for healing, guidance and protection, amazing to me how persons are willing and able to represent themselves in a light that speaks deception or dishonesty about who they truly are.
11 Teach me your way, O LORD, and lead me on a level path because of my enemies. 12 Give me not up to the will of my adversaries; for false witnesses have risen against me, and they breathe out violence.
13 I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living! 14 Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the LORD!
Love does have its delights. One of those delights is in what is authentic, genuine, and true — TRUTH! So as Jesus' disciples, we are not deceitful, manipulative, or coercive in our relationships. Instead, we are transparent, intimate, and honest. Why? Because true love delights in truth.
O LORD, God of love and truth, as you pour your love into my heart through your Holy Spirit, please refine my love to be genuine and true, without guile, manipulation, and deceit. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
